Lot 2: DirectoryFast

Build a niche directory from your AI chat.

The directoryfa.st home page
directoryfa.st, as it looked on 14 September 2026

Describe a niche in your AI chat. DirectoryFast researches it, designs the listing fields, fills them in, and puts an indexable directory site online, on its own domain if you want.

It's a multi-tenant SaaS with 49 MCP tools over OAuth 2.1: niche research, schema design, bulk listings, categories, collections, submissions, blog posts, analytics, custom domains, and a paid leaderboard where listings bid for placement. English and French out of the box.

It started as a $197 Next.js template that sold. The hosted version hasn't, yet.

Where it could go

Three directions a buyer could take it, and what each one changes for the business.

  • Go back to the template

Sell the codebase again as a one-time boilerplate: an MCP-driven directory starter at $149–299.

For the business: It's the model that already made money here. Cash on every sale, no hosting to babysit, distribution through X, Product Hunt and boilerplate lists. No MRR, by design.

  • Directories as a service

Use the MCP pipeline in-house to ship done-for-you directories for clients: local SEO, B2B lead lists, communities.

For the business: Service revenue of $1–3k per build plus hosting. Higher tickets and faster cash, but it grows with your hours, not your signups.

  • Run a portfolio

Keep the platform for yourself and spin up twenty niche directories, earning from featured placements (the paid leaderboard is already built) and affiliate links.

For the business: The SaaS becomes an internal tool and you own the assets. Expect six to twelve months of SEO before it pays.
